I miss everyone!

Hi guys!

I can’t spend a lot of time writing tonight, because it’s after midnight and my brain hurts from Environmental Science homework! I just wanted to write a quick post saying that I really miss blogging and talking with you all!!! School is almost out, so I will have more time to do what I love, which is writing about causes and issues around the world and chatting/campaigning with you all about them! I’m making it my goal to do at least one posting each week till school gets out, and then two postings a week all summer!

I know I still need to post my list of embassies, template email, and dolphin slaughter facts for when we call the Japanese embassy! I am still working on it, I hope to have it up by Sunday. I’ll post it on it’s own page so it’s real easy to find!

I hope everyone is calling/writing/faxing everyday this month as Taiji slaughters pilot whales. I think it’s amazing that even though we don’t know what it going on in the Cove, we are still working hard, together, to end this! Don’t stop calling or writing, it really is making a difference!

Oh! I almost forgot, my dad’s latest posting is up on the Sea Shepherd Website, so please check that out!

I’ll be posting a blog soon!

Far, Fast, Deep,

Elora Malama West

Sorry my blog is super unorganized right now, I’m working on remodeling it!

  1. We miss you too Elora! πŸ™‚
Contacts still being made, it is very strange not having daily reports from Taiji though. I can’t help but think there is still so much suffering going on over there 😦
Hope school is going well, I know it must be crunch time for you as my daughter is going through it as well (home schooled) Hang in there, it’s almost over!!! πŸ™‚

    Best Regards,

  2. Elora, We miss u too, but please do not worry, some of us have already posted lists of embassies, template email, and some info. on Dolphins, Dall’s Porpoises, and Pilot Whales, and other Cetacean slaughter facts for when we call the Japanese embassies and are still calling all thru the month of May or till it ends! It will be great when u can put it out there some more too tho, of course & u have done so much already. So good luck with school for now! And Good on U!

  3. I just wanted to ask a question. Is anyone else disturbed by Discovery channel showing “Swords life on the line”? It sickens me, that one of my favorite channels is glamorizing long line fishing??? I thought this world was moving towards conservation, hello animal planet, and this crap is on. They are PAYING to film those idiots causing even more desecration to our oceans. What is wrong with these people?
Also, I want to highly recommend all of you to watch WHALE WARRIOR:PIRATE FOR THE SEA. It is very graphic, and heartbreaking, however if more people saw these things, i.e. Seals bashed over the head, skinned alive, whales harpooned, and by catch dolphins thrown around by hooks, it might just light a fire under alot more people’s a##es to do something about all these vicious slaughters.

      1. Thanks! If you have not seen the movie you should. It is up there with The Cove, which I could hardly stand to watch the end of. Very sickening.

  4. Hey sweetie, no worries! Hopefully we can get together soon and fight for Lolita and even possibly see her family. You and Trev are going Whale Watching!!!
