EMERGENCY! Call to Action!

UPDATE: Cove Guardians, Nicole & Andy, are still following the truck with three captive dolphins on it. They began their journey in Taiji yesterday morning & have been on the road for nearly 24 hours. They hit a blizzard & the truck containing the dolphins clipped a guardrail & has been stuck in the snow for over seven hours. Nicole & Andy are on the side of the road with the truck.

Thanks Libby for the update on Nicole and Andy. This is terrible. I say everyone to the phones. It is Sunday in many places (use the emergency #’s) and Monday elsewhere in the world. These dolphins are stuck in their captive coffins and now trapped in a blizzard! Libby~Do we have a Hwy # or the like we can give to officials when people call?? ~ Suzanne

Everyone! Hit the phones! We need to bombard the embassies and everything else we can! This is beyond horrible! Start writing and calling! It’s been seven hours… in a blizzard! Dolphin’s lives are on the line here!

Far fast and deep,

Elora Malama West!

***My Letter To Dolphin Base

Dear Dolphin Base,

Cove Guardians, Nicole and Andy, are following a truck with three captive dolphins on it. They began their journey in Taiji yesterday morning and have been on the road for nearly 24 hours! Last night the truck with Dolphins crashed in a blizzard. The truck with dolphins and trainers has been stuck in the snow for over 7 hours. Nicole and Andy are on the side of the road watching the truck.

These Dolphins are stuck in their captive coffins and now trapped in a blizzard! I am appalled by this news. Dolphins do not belong in captivity, they belong in the wild. All of you who work at Dolphin base are as bloody as the killers. We have prof that you trainers at dolphin base are connected with the slaughter of dolphins in Taiji. How can you say you care about dolphins and turn a blind eye to their slaughter? You trainers are disgusting human beings with bloody hands.

Dolphin’s lives are on the line here! I hope you are happy, the same dolphins you selected are now dying on the side of the road. Sleep well tonight.

Far Fast and Deep,
Elora Malama West

  1. Nicole and Andy are ok, they did not have an accident like the truck and could leave at any time. But, they will stay with the dolphins and the truck.
I am trying to get a road number for people to use when calling but so far we know that they are in the Kagawa Prefecture.

  2. Omg the dolphins will die! They should have left them where they were! How long do they have before they perish? This is awful awful. I am glad the guardians are ok. Time to make calls. Everyone pray for the dolphins.

  3. Make sure please that the japanese in these trucks don’t kill the dolphins.
Keep an eye on them, hydrate them when you can and when they get to the dolphinarium tell the man in charge of the dolphinariun what the fishermen did to these poor animals and that they need to be fed and well taken care of and please not push them to perform if they don’t want to and also to put them in big pools so they will have space to swim. I also would recommend the Cove Guardians Nicole and Andy to call the tv reporters or the newspapers of the area so this incident can be informed to the public.
Also,if you can send a report about this to the a dolphin conservation organization like the Humane International Society of America since I know
they collect reports of what happens to the Taiji dolphins and deeply care
about them. Take care of yourselves and the dolphins, pray to God for these
    creatures.

  4. Nicole and Andy:
If you can call Richard O’Barry to help you,he will come in a flash.
He has rescued a lot of dolphins before, call him please. His phone
number is in the Save Japan’s Dolphins website. I am sure he will
be able to help the dolphins and check their health. Like I said before
make sure they are OK and please do everything you can so the dolphins
won’t die and also be careful of these fishermen.
