Tourist Day!

So! Today will be another tourist day for my dad and I. The fishermen didn’t even go out today! So dolphins are safe, for now!

I’ll let you know how our day unfolds later tonight 🙂

  1. Have a wonderful day sightseeing Elora!! I love it when you have nothing to report and can just share with us the beauty of Japan. It could be such a magical place for cetaceans if they only stopped the slaughter. Do they know how lucky they are to have such wondrous creatures in there midst?

  2. I am so extremely grateful that the dolphins are all safe at home! I truly hope this keeps up for as long as possible! I’ve been thinking and praying for all the beloved creatures that truly deserve to live their lives to the fullest in their oceanic environments!

I wholeheartedly agree with everything that Marysia Nieciecka mentioned in her comment post. Wouldn’t it be so wonderful if the fishermen would just drop their ‘weapons’ and establish their whale- and dolphin-watching businesses in a heartbeat!

Speaking of whale- and dolphin-watching, I understood that one former dolphin hunter in Futo had a change of heart about the slaughter and established his own whale- and dolphin-watching business. Since Futo was going to resume the slaughter once again, I wonder what has happened to this guy. I can’t remember his name, but I do know that he was quite passionate about his new business. I do hope that he is still against the slaughter and the capture of dolphins and that he is still going about in his business. I will definitely keep an eye out for any news about him, and when I get a chance, I will do some research to find out what he’s been up to these days.

Again, I am so thankful that the fishermen have not done anything to the dolphins during this past week! I do hope the skies will continue to be filled with storms and the winds so strong that absolutely nothing can be done to drive the dolphins into the Cove!
